About Us

We understand the importance of innovation and professionalism

Johnny’s Electric Inc. was established in 1998 by Johnny Grimes

Johnny Grimes started his career in the industry as an apprentice and worked his way to be a journeyman electrician then later as a state licensed contractor in the electrical industry. As president of the Alabama Electrical Contractors Board and member of the craft training advisory committee, Johnny is committed to the growth of this industry.

From our friendly office staff and customer service representatives to our highly skilled technicians, we provide exceptional service to each client we interact with. We specialize in a wide variety of commercial, industrial, and low voltage services. The most important accomplishment for our team is to have a satisfied customer during all phases of each project. We also strive to build really strong relationships with every client.

We are a team here!

We live to develop great electricians and enjoy teaching Electrical Apprentices our trade. In October, we will begin our in-house NCCER Training, which is a nationally recognized school. Going through this school will not only teach you electrical fundamentals to be an Electrician, but it also counts toward your needed 8,000 hours for the Electrical Journeyman’s License. With a work culture that is fun and energetic, we treat our employees like family and enjoy camaraderie with one another. Facilitating a fair and steady work environment translates to the clients we serve.

We stay current with the latest applications and building technologies

We build the finest homes and structures within our client’s budgets and time frame without sacrificing quality and workmanship. We work with you on all of your green energy ideas. We keep you up to date on the latest greenest building practices and materials.

JE Inc. Apprenticeship Program utilizes curriculum developed by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) that covers NCCER Core Curriculum – Introductory Craft Skills and NCCER Electrical Level I to IV classes. Successful completers receive a certificate from the education partner as well as nationally recognized credentials from NCCER.

National Center for Construction Education & Research

NCCER is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) education foundation created in 1996 as The National Center for Construction Education and Research. It was developed with the support of more than 125 construction CEOs and various association and academic leaders who united to revolutionize training for the construction industry. Sharing the common goal of developing a safe and productive workforce, these companies created a standardized training and credentialing program for the industry. This progressive program has evolved into curricula for more than 70 craft and maintenance areas and a complete series of more than 70 assessments offered in over 6,000 NCCER-accredited training and assessment locations across the United States.

NCCER develops standardized construction and maintenance curriculum and assessments with portable credentials. These credentials are tracked through NCCER’s Registry System that allows organizations and companies to track the qualifications of their craft professionals and/or check the qualifications of possible new hires. NCCER’s Registry System also assists craft professionals by maintaining their records in a secure database.

NCCER’s workforce development process of accreditation, instructor certification, standardized curriculum, registry, assessment and certification is a key component in the industry’s workforce development efforts. NCCER also drives multiple initiatives to enhance career development and recruitment efforts for the industry, primarily through its Build Your Future initiative.

NCCER’s new branding and international initiatives have led to the use of NCCER in lieu of The National Center for Construction Education and Research. The same great resources and services are still available.

NCCER is headquartered in Alachua, Florida, and is affiliated with the University of Florida’s M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management.
